Magic Workshop for Children
We offer monthly days of magic where the children can learn some effective yet simple tricks, as well as have time to ask questions, practice, chat and even perform if they wish.
The workshops are designed to introduce children aged 7 to 13 to magic. It is taught by James Pritchard and Oliver Taybor, who also teaches our adult and advanced workshops, and who are used to demistifying magic!
Each workshop will cover different material, it is designed to be interactive and fun, with time for practice. Questions can also be asked about the material covered during previous workshops.
The workshops are held in our Magic Studio, which is accessed via our shop in Charing Cross, London.
Each day covers the basic funamentals of magic, including some time on some simple sleight of hand. Then a simple and slightly more advanced trick is taught, all within the capabilities of children aged 7 upwards.
We would limit the numbers to a maximum of 17 people per session, which would typically last around two hours, on a Saturday, starting at 11am, and finishing between 1pm and 1.15pm.
For the people who attend the workshop, there is also an afternoon magic club, th 'Demon Club', which is a more informal supervised time when the children can ask questions, perform their favourite magic, and chat. This runs from 2pm until 4pm.
Sometimes for older children, we find that our more intensive adult three day course is more suitable, please contact us to discuss this further.
Please note that booking is essential, and can be done either via our web site, by phone on 020 7836 0408 or by coming into our shop in person.
Parents and guardians are very welcome to sit in on the workshop if they wish.
All the workshop materials are supplied, but not refreshments.
Tickets can be purchased for specific days, or we can issue a general workshop voucher that can be used as a gift, and redeemed against future workshops, given prior notice.
Please note that as numbers are limited, it is essential that you book beforehand.
