Unlike the Appearing Cane, this cane can be caused to vanish at any point in your performance. It is made from durable plastic and can also be performed in conjunction with silks. Imagine holding the cane between both hands, when instantly it is gone and in its place is a large silk. If you work with an assistant you can use both of these types of cane to perform a baffling effect, as follows. You are holding a bright coloured silk, whilst your assistant holds the elegant black cane, obviously they should be the other way round. This routine is based on "tricolor" an effect by Eric Lewis, published in his book A Continuation of Miracles. The classic "Snowstorm in China" effect is one of the most visually appealing effects possible. The performer shows his hands empty, then displays a sheet of tissue paper and tears it into strips.
