This is the second in a series of classic routines that Reed McClintock uses in the real world. If you are familiar with Mr. McClintock’s “The McClintock Twist”, the “Knuckle Busters” series on coin magic, or any of his videos or DVDs, you already know his through process regarding magic is truly outside the box.

In “Defiance II”, you will once again take a walk into Reed’s mind to see how he has broken down the elements of a classic routine, souped it back up, and yet still simplified it so even the earliest beginner can perform it. The seasoned professional will appreciate its impact.

Effect: Three cups are shown, along with a wand. Suddenly, a ball appears at the fingertips. The balls vanishes as quickly as it appeared, only to end up under an untouched cup. The actions are repeated two times, with a ball appearing under each of the three cups. The balls vanish once again, appearing under the cups once more. The performer offers to do it with two balls and one cup, which covers the third ball. The two balls vanish from the hand. The spectator lifts their cup to show three balls. The balls are vanished once again. All three cups are lifted, revealing the final loads.

The knowledge applied in this routine can be used in all aspects of the magic you perform. It is a true reputation maker.

Alien Autopsy by Jim Pace & Steve Dobson Four differently colored alien faces appear and disappear one at a time between pictures of earth and space. Then, with a wave of the hand, the four cards with aliens change to four "green immigration cards"-which then magically change into the aliens again, this time all four at once! Effect

The magician borrows a bill from the spectator. The bill is folded in half, and a pen or pencil is placed in the fold. Instantly and visually, the pencil penetrates through the bill, but this time the pencil melts through in slow motion! This is so visual, it's like watching a special effect in a movie! Of course, both bill and pencil remain unharmed.

Animental

The magician/mentalist displays four laminated plaques each bearing various full color pictures of animal. Four spectators are asked to mentally select and remember an animal. No questions are asked, yet the magician correctly reveals all four selected animals! Very easy to do, yet extremely baffling. The plaques can be carried in your inside jacket pocket, and the animals are brightly colored making them extremely visible. Great for strolling, table hopping or parlor. This new version of Telemental and has been extremely popular due to the fact that you can do this for an adults or children. Mentalism for kids has always been difficult to present but adults and kids love Animental and you will too!

Imagine taking a deck of cards and having someone select one. Then imagine borrowing a banknote of any denomination. Finally, imagine the look of disbelief on the spectator's faces when you take the freely selected card and push it straight through the middle of the borrowed bill. That's right, the audience clearly sees the card go straight throught the bill!!

At the end of the routine, the card and bill can be handed back to the spectator to be examined.

We Agree! An amazing vanish of cigarette so stunning it looks like trick photography! A cigarette is slowly & visibly pushed up your nose. Your hands are then shown absolutely empty! Includes special hand crafted gimick and detailed instructions thoroughly illustrated by Tony Dunn.

A small chain, a nut, and bolt are given to a spectator. The nut and bolt have hole drilled through them for the chain to pass through. The spectator is asked to thread the bolt through the nut and then place the chain through the hole. The spectator is then asked to turn the bolt and thread it further through the nut. The chain won't allow it! The spectator can not make it turn. The magician then takes the chain, nut, and bolt back from the spectator and threads the bolt on thru!! This effect happens right in front of the spectator's eyes!

A spectator selects a card from the deck and the magician displays a small polished aluminum box. He takes off the lid and removes a small piece of clear "photographic" paper, explaining that the paper is heat sensitive.

The paper is placed back inside the box and the spectator holds the box and his chosen card between his palms. After a few moments the spectator opens his hands and may remove the lid from the box himself. Inside, he finds the paper developed with an x-ray image of both of his hands and a picture of his selected card!
